Privacy policy

Staks is a scorekeeping app for in-person games. This policy covers the Staks iPhone app and this website, staksapp.com. The short version: your games stay on your phone, and we don't collect, sell or share personal information.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter in Staks (game names, player names, buy-ins, bets, results, payments and your settings) is saved only on your phone. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

Staks has no account or sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It doesn't ask for your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Sharing results

When you tap Share results, Staks writes the results as text and opens your iPhone's share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you pick where it goes. The app you choose (Messages, for example) handles it under its own privacy policy.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics, ads or trackers. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which handles standard technical information (such as your internet address, your browser and the page you asked for) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Email

If you email support@staksapp.com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and help, and we keep them only as long as we need to. Email to that address passes through Cloudflare's email forwarding and is stored in Google's Gmail.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share personal information.
• We don't use it for advertising.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.

Do Not Track

Because we don't track anyone across websites, Staks and this website work the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Children

Staks is for adults 18 and over. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

Your games are under your control on your phone: deleting the Staks app erases all of them. Wherever you live, you can ask what we have about you (for example, emails you sent us) or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@staksapp.com.

Security

Your games are protected by your iPhone's own security, such as its passcode. Support email is protected by Google's security.

Changes to this policy

If Staks adds features that handle information differently (for example, accounts or playing on several phones), we'll update this policy before those features are released and change the date above. For significant changes, we'll also tell you in the app.
